Summary: This work aims to investigate flute improvisation in the hybridism between jazz and Brazilian music. Eduardo Neves and Carlos Malta are among the examples of Brazilian flutists who use hybridism in their music. The presence of these two worlds can be observed in the improvisation of these musicians in Choro, Baião, Samba and MPB. The research will be conducted through interviews and analysis of solos by the above mentioned flutists, with the purpose of creating 16 (sixteen) video lessons about the hybrid henomenon of jazz and Brazilian music in improvisation.
