Master of the Program plays with OSPA
Trumpeter Daniel Soares (photo), master student at PROMUS, will perform on June 7 with the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra (OSPA). He plays the famous Horn Concert no. 4, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Soares was one of the winners in the 2018/2019 Edital of the Program agreement with the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra Foundation (FOSPA), which provides dates in his concert season for master’s students. In return, the Program reserves vacancies in its annual selection notices for Foundation members.

Daniel Soares began his studies at the age of 14 with his uncle Francisco de Assis Soares da Silva. He participated in masterclasses with Radovan Vlatkovic, Marie Louise Neunecker, Will Sanders, Stefan Dohr, Abel Pereira and Frank Lloyd. He was awarded twice in the Young Soloists Competition of OSB Jovem.
Bachelor of horns at UFRJ in the class of Professor Philip Doyle, he is currently a horn player for the Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro.
