He is a Band Conducting and Orchestral Practice Professor at Escola de Música of UFRJ, and musical director of Orquestra de Sopros da UFRJ, with which he recorded the album "A Obra para Orquestra de Sopros de Heitor Villa-Lobos". Doctor in Music at UNIRIO, with the thesis “A Banda do Villa: a obra para banda de Heitor Villa-Lobos”. From 2013 to 2019 he worked in the consultancy and artistic direction of Festival Música das Américas Festival Internacional de Música do Pará, held by Fundação Carlos Gomes in Belém. As a guest conductor, he has performed with symphonic bands and symphonic orchestras in Brazil, Latin America, United States and Europe. In the pedagogical field, he has worked as a teacher and speaker, at festivals, conferences, congresses and symposia in different parts of Brazil and the world. He works as an artistic and pedagogical consultant for Funarte's Projeto Bandas, where he accompanies the Funarte Panels of Music Bands and Project of Band Score Editions. He was responsible for the implementation of the Band Conducting course at Instituto Estadual Carlos Gomes, in Belém / PA. He is the general coordinator of the Bossa-Criativa, SINOS and Um novo olhar projects, a partnership between FUNARTE and UFRJ.
