Doctor in Music at UNIRIO and Master in Baroque Flute and Ancient Music at Utrecht University (Holland), a pianist with prizes at several competitions, Veruschka Mainhard studied with Carol McDavit and Martha Herr in Brazil, Uta Spreckelsen in Germany and Marianne Blok in Holland . She also took classes with Roland Hermann, Mitsuko Shirai, Hilde Zadek and Jeffrey Gall in Germany and with Jorge Chaminé in Paris. She is a Professor of Diction and Voice in the undergraduate program and is part of the teaching staff of PROMUS (Professional Master in Music) at Escola de Música of UFRJ. She is a vocal coach for Coro de Câmara Pro-Arte, of which she has been a member for over 30 years. She has performed in the most important concert halls of Brazil and abroad. She has performed as a soloist in operas, oratories and cantatas in Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States, as well as in world premieres of works written specifically for her voice. She has recorded albums, videos and programs for radio and TV.
