PROMUS releases selection notice for admission in 2024.
Notice No. 980 for admission to the Professional Master’s Program in Music – Class of 2024 – is now available for review.
There will be 20 vacancies distributed among the following sectors covered by the Program: wind instruments, bowed string instruments, plucked string instruments, keyboard instruments, vocals, and conducting. Out of this total, positions are allocated for candidates who fall under affirmative action policies (Black, Mixed-race, Indigenous people, and individuals with disabilities), as well as for candidates who qualify under cooperation agreements with the Porto Alegre Symphony Orchestra Foundation (FOSPA) and the Barra Mansa Orchestra Association (AOBM).
This year, the notice includes compensatory measures for mother candidates who have adopted children and/or given birth within the last 5 years, counting from the date of notice publication (candidates in a parenthood situation). A fixed correction factor of 1.1 will be applied to the score of the Project Defense exam.
PROMUS has its Area of Concentration in Interpretive Practices, with two Professional Action Lines (Research): Artistic Development Processes (PDA) and Instrumental/Vocal/Conducting Pedagogy (PIVR). Project proposals related to either of these two lines and directed towards one of the mentioned sectors will be accepted.
